The Pastors of the Norwegian Lutheran Synods database was created with the data contained in the publication, Who's Who Among Pastors in All the Norwegian Lutheran Synods of America, 1843-1927 which was edited by O.M. Norlie and constituted one of the earliest comprehensive listings of Norwegian-American pastors.  The database was initially designed by Tom Walker during his tenure as the Executive Director of Library and Information Services at Luther College.  Additional work on this project was conducted by numerous student assistants who worked in the Luther College Archives and the College Archivist, Rachel Vagts.  The current version of the database was created as part of a senior project in MIS by Ean Gibson, Suzy Grimstad and Nicole Jones.  Images of the pastors were provided by the Norwegian American Historical Association in Northfield, Minnesota.

Luther College Archives collects, organizes, preserves, promotes, and makes available records of enduring historical, legal, administrative and fiscal value. The archives are used by college administrators, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and others. The collection consists of a variety of formats including handwritten manuscripts, office records, meeting minutes, photographs, audio visual material, video tapes and photographs. The collections have been organized into 18 record groups to aid in access for staff and researchers.
